Origin of Café Yabusachi
The name of our Café is taken from Yabusatsu Utaki, one of the seven sacred sites or Utaki of the Ryukyus.
It is said that Amamikiyo, the creator of the Ryukyus, was given life as a god from the heavens and descended here with earth, stones and vegetation to create the land. The area where our Café stands has long been revered as a sacred site, known as Urabaru of Yabusatsu.
